Kyle Tramonte handles high-stakes international disputes in US federal courts, representing plaintiffs in actions involving the Antiterrorism Act, Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act, federal human rights statutes, customary international law, and foreign jurisdictions.
Kyle manages comprehensive litigation strategy, from drafting complaints and pleadings through briefing dispositive and discovery motions, to preparing for depositions on legal and factual matters. In addition to litigation in federal court, he assists partners in their practice of counseling clients on public policy matters, political activity, and congressional investigations. He additionally conducts vetting for high-profile appointments, including conflict of interest assessments. Kyle is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and served as a law clerk to the Honorable Amy Berman Jackson of the United States District Court of the District of Columbia.
He received his JD, cum laude, from Harvard Law School, where he was a teaching assistant in the First Year Legal Research and Writing Program, a student attorney in the law school’s Capital Punishment Litigation Clinic, and a research assistant to numerous professors. He graduated cum laude from Yale University with a BA in Economics, and has served on the firm’s Associates Committee, Wellness Committee, and Inclusion & Engagement Committee.
