Katie Funderburg assists clients with commercial, ERISA, and labor and employment-related litigation matters before state and federal trial and appellate courts. As a former federal judicial law clerk, she has broad exposure to various types of litigation. Katie has experience representing plan sponsors and employers in actions involving benefits claims, claims for vested retiree benefits, claims for breach of fiduciary duty, and state wage-and-hour law. 

In addition to her litigation practice, Katie advises employers on personnel matters, employment agreements, and employment policies and practices. She also counsels employers on the labor and employment-related aspects of mergers and acquisitions. Katie maintains an active pro bono practice, which includes providing employment-related advice to non-profit entities, as well as representing incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals in post-conviction proceedings and civil litigation.
