Karen earned her JD from Columbia Law School. While completing her studies, she worked as a staff editor and development chair for the Columbia Law Review, in which she also published her note “Ticket to Debt: The Two-Track Consumer Bankruptcy System.” Karen additionally interned at the United States Department of Justice (DOJ), the Legal Aid Society’s Consumer Law Project (CLP), and Macmillan Publishers. Prior to law school, Karen worked in non-profit publishing as the editorial assistant for the American Historical Association (AHA) and earned her undergraduate degree from Emory University.
