Kai Luan received his JD from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law in 2022. He was a student attorney in the Intellectual Property Clinic, where he drafted trademark applications and conducted prior art searches. There, he also earned certificates in Intellectual Property and Health Law. Kai also was chief systems manager of the Arizona Law Journal of Emerging Technologies.
After law school, Kai served as a PILI fellow with the Cook County Office of the Public Guardian. He received his BA from the University of Chicago in 2017 in biological sciences. Prior to attending law school, Kai was a data analyst at a biotechnological start-up in Chicago.
