Jamie Coleman manages complex telecommunications and technology regulatory matters, helping companies navigate spectrum policy, equipment authorization, wireless and satellite regulation, and cross-agency compliance issues. Working at the intersection of law, engineering, and public policy, Jamie counsels clients on managing regulatory risk while advancing innovative products and services.
Before joining Jenner & Block, Jamie served as Associate Chief in the Federal Communications Commission’s Office of Engineering and Technology, where she gained deep experience in equipment authorization and radiofrequency device regulation. She led and advised on significant rulemakings, policy initiatives, and adjudications involving wireless devices, IoT, satellite systems, and supply-chain security, working regularly with engineers, testing laboratories, industry stakeholders, and interagency partners including NTIA, USTR, and national security agencies.
Earlier in her career, Jamie held senior regulatory positions at the US Food and Drug Administration and the US Department of Justice, where she oversaw major rulemakings, enforcement programs, and compliance modernization efforts. Drawing on her firsthand experience designing, implementing, and defending federal regulatory frameworks, she provides practical, implementation-focused guidance to clients facing complex regulatory environments.
