Ashlee Carrasco is a graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Law, where she assisted indigent individuals and families in the Child and Family Justice Clinic and served as a member of the Natural Resources Journal. She received the honor of being an Arturo L. Jaramillo Fellow and externed at the New Mexico Court of Appeals for the Honorable Kristina Bogardus. Ashlee completed her undergraduate studies at the University of New Mexico, where she graduated with highest honors in criminology with psychology and anthropology minors.
As a law school student, Ashlee spent her time as a research assistant and Treasurer of the Women’s Law Caucus. Immediately following law school, she clerked at the New Mexico Court of Appeals for the Honorable Shammara Henerson and practiced law at a boutique law firm in New Mexico doing construction law, labor and employment law, and complex commercial litigation.
