Andrew Cherry represents individual and corporate clients in civil trial, administrative, and appellate proceedings, as well as in civil and criminal investigations.

Andrew rejoined Jenner & Block after serving as a Trial Attorney in the Criminal Section of the Justice Department’s (DOJ) Civil Rights Division, where he partnered with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and United States Attorney’s Offices (USAOs)  around the country to investigate and prosecute criminal violations of individuals' constitutional rights. He regularly appeared in federal courts nationwide to prosecute and try criminal offenses including arson, homicide, hate crimes, color-of-law offenses, conspiracy, and obstruction of justice. While at DOJ, Andrew also served as Special Assistant United States Attorney (SAUSA) at the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, where he prosecuted domestic violence offenses in DC Superior Court.

Previously, Andrew clerked for the Honorable Michael A. Chagares of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and for the Honorable John A. Kronstadt of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Before initially joining the firm, Andrew completed a Jenner & Block Pro Bono Fellowship with the Human Trafficking Legal Center. Andrew received his JD, magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, where he served as an executive editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review and participated in the law school’s Supreme Court Clinic.
