Adam Henderson focuses on high-stakes litigation matters, representing clients in their most important and complex disputes. He assists clients at every stage of litigation and has helped secure positive results for clients, including in trial victories and favorable settlements.
In the high-profile trial involving Chancelor J. Bennett, widely known as Chance the Rapper, Adam was an integral part of the Jenner team that secured a victory for the independent artist in a dispute with his former manager. Adam assisted in all aspects of the team’s work—including discovery and trial strategy—and was even called the team’s “secret weapon” by the client. The team’s work on the case earned them recognition in The American Lawyer’s Litigator of the Week.
Adam helps lead Jenner’s representation of a proposed class of Black veterans challenging racial discrimination in veteran’s benefits adjudication at the Department of Veterans Affairs. This novel and significant case has earned news coverage in numerous outlets including The Washington Post and CNN. Adam also represents clients in immigration matters, including in asylum proceedings.
Prior to joining Jenner, Adam clerked for the Honorable John Z. Lee of the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He received his JD from Yale Law School, where he was active in the Veterans Legal Services Clinic. Adam’s work at the clinic included filing a lawsuit on behalf of veterans seeking redress for racial disparities in the administration of benefits by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and successfully arguing in federal court for the settlement of a class-action lawsuit challenging the United States Army’s improper treatment of veterans with mental health conditions. Yale Law School awarded Adam the Stephen J. Massey prize for his work at the clinic.
Before attending law school, Adam completed a Fulbright grant in Malaysia and worked on several political campaigns.
