Jenner & Block Team Secures Win for Client KFC in Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals
On August 4, a team of Jenner & Block lawyers secured a win in the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit on behalf of firm client KFC (part of Yum! Brands, Inc.). The Tenth Circuit reversed an adverse jury verdict and ordered that judgment be entered for KFC. The case concerned a challenge to the way that KFC licenses new restaurants. President Biden's Rent Control Proposal: A Bad Dream
On July 16, 2024, President Biden announced a proposal to pass legislation capping rent increases to no more than 5% on properties held by corporate landlords, with an exception for new construction and substantial renovation or rehabilitation.
