Celebrating “Making Justice a Reality in Our Communities,” in Honor of 2024 US Pro Bono Week
In honor of American Bar Association's US Pro Bono Week, Jenner & Block is celebrating and shining a spotlight on the impactful work our lawyers do to help preserve and strengthen the communities we serve. Earlier this year, the firm, an international leader in pro bono service, surpassed its five-year commitment of providing $250 million in free legal services to those in need of access to justice—a year and a half ahead of schedule.

Jenner & Block has published the 2023 edition of Protecting Confidential Legal Information: A Handbook Analyzing Issues under the Attorney-Client Privilege and the Work Product Doctrine, a comprehensive look at issues related to attorney-client privilege and the work product doctrine. First published in 1984, the guide remains one of the firm’s most popular publications and an invaluable resource.
On October 3, 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court granted review in a federal grand jury proceeding that may result in the Court expanding the scope of the attorney-client privilege for dual-purpose business communications. Petitioner argues that the Court should adopt the test articulated in two decisions by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, which were authored by then Judge Brett Kavanagh.
