Jenner & Block Files Federal Class Action Challenging Solitary Confinement of Youth in New York
Jenner & Block, in partnership with The Legal Aid Society, has filed a federal class action lawsuit challenging the New York State Office of Children and Family Services' (OCFS) practice of subjecting youth to solitary confinement.
Partner Jeremy Creelan recently spoke with The National Law Journal about Jenner & Block’s pro bono work with the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law. In the article, Jeremy discussed a joint effort in Georgia regarding issues with the state’s voter registration cancellation portal.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Utah recognized Partners Jeremy Creelan and Rémi Jaffré with the 2023 Mickey Duncan Award. “Pro Bono Innovators 2022 Honoree Jenner & Block,” Bloomberg Law
In its inaugural issue recognizing Pro Bono Innovators, Bloomberg Law honored Jenner & Block for the firm’s work in “successfully defending veterans whose discharges were impacted by their service-related mental health conditions, providing guidance to nongovernmental organizations operating in Afghanistan during the Taliban takeover, and other matters.”
The 2021 edition of The Legal 500 United States recognizes Jenner & Block in 24 national practice categories. Of those, the firm received a Tier-1 ranking in the Copyright, Native American Law, and Telecoms and Broadcast (Regulatory) categories.
