Partner Doug Litvack was recognized in Bloomberg Law’s They’ve Got Next: 40 Under 40 list for 2025. Doug’s profile highlights his significant victories in high-profile antitrust cases. Notably, he secured a unanimous Sixth Circuit reversal in St. Luke’s Hospital et al v. ProMedica et al, successfully overturning a preliminary injunction that prevented his client from terminating contractual relationships with competitor St. Luke’s. The decision has since become a leading precedent regarding a firm’s duty to deal with competitors under antitrust law. His profile also highlights his win in PLS.com v. National Association of Realtors et al where he secured a unanimous Ninth Circuit reversal, overturning the district court’s dismissal of our challenge to NAR’s Clear Cooperation policy.

Reflecting on his early career, Doug shared an important lesson learned as a first-year attorney, saying “While my initial instinct as a young litigator was to fight on every issue to be a fierce advocate, I quickly discovered that measured advocacy with kindness and respect toward my adversaries produces better results. I learned that fighting every battle doesn’t serve my clients well and found the importance of reasonableness and strategic thinking over confrontational litigation tactics.”

When asked what he’s most proud of, Doug said, “Through my case work, I’ve formed incredible personal and professional relationships with so many different people—some have mentored me, and I have mentored others. I rely heavily on these relationships for referrals, advice, and most importantly, friendship. Forming these relationships with my colleagues has been truly the best gift of being a lawyer in my line of work and one I didn’t foresee when I went to law school.”

Doug leverages his prior experience at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to help clients successfully navigate the full gamut of competition law-related issues.
