Jenner & Block’s Education Practice Receives Band 1 Nationwide Ranking in 2025 Chambers USA

For the second consecutive year, Jenner & Block’s Education Practice has achieved a Nationwide Band 1 ranking in the 2025 edition of Chambers USA. This is the second year that Chambers has included a Nationwide Higher Education category among its rankings.

In addition to the practice’s Band 1 ranking, Education Practice Co-Chairs Ishan Bhabha and Lauren Hartz earned individual Band 1 and Band 3 rankings, respectively.

“Educational institutions are increasingly facing intense scrutiny, and the legal matters they confront are often multifaceted, requiring a nuanced understanding of regulatory and operational considerations,” said Education Practice Co-Chairs Ishan, Lauren, and Terri Mascherin. “We’re proud to support the country’s leading schools and universities as they address these challenges. We’re deeply honored to receive this top ranking from Chambers for a second year in recognition of that work.”

According to Chambers, “Jenner & Block's legal research and analysis is spot-on but unlike other large firms they are able to translate their legal know-how to practical advice appropriate for a higher education setting.”

The firm helps Education clients with a wide range of matters, including government and internal investigations; Congressional inquiries; federal funding disputes; immigration policy and litigation; First Amendment advising and defense; campus protests and Title VI; antitrust litigation; Title IX and sexual misconduct litigation and investigations; governance and faculty discipline issues; NCAA enforcement defense, and more.
