Jenner & Block Partner Dawn Smalls Receives Dorothy Height Champion for Racial Equality Award

Women’s eNews has named Partner Dawn Smalls the 2024 recipient of its Dorothy Height Champion for Racial Equality Award. The award is part of the publication’s ‘21 Leaders for the 21st Century’ series and will be presented at their 24th annual Gala in New York City. Winners were selected “due to the innovative programs and practices they provide to help ensure full equality regardless of gender, race, age, sexual orientation, or abilities.”

Dawn will participate in a panel discussion on the state of diversity and inclusion as part of the gala.

Dawn advises clients on complex policy, political, or governance issues and litigates high-stakes disputes that often have significant implications for their business or the broader political landscape. Her work includes investigations of discrimination or toxic work environments and external calls for an audit. Dawn also counsels clients on strategy when they are under regulatory, Congressional, or public scrutiny. She serves as a co-chair of the firm’s ESG practice.
