Jenner & Block Named a Finalist for The National Law Journal’s Crisis Management and Government Oversight Award

The National Law Journal has named Jenner & Block’s Congressional Investigations Practice among the finalists for its Crisis Management and Government Oversight Award. The award recognizes the top firms that have guided clients through government proceedings. Our work includes preparing individuals for high-profile hearings and panel discussions before legislatures across the globe:  the US Congress, state legislatures, the European Commission, and in the UK Parliament.

Jenner’s practice is led by Partner Emily Loeb, who has over a decade of experience defending clients who have faced congressional investigations while at the White House, the US Department of Justice, and in private practice. The team has a unique blend of experience—as congressional staff, as government lawyers, and in private practice—responding to some of the most high-profile congressional investigations and hearings in recent memory. Grounded in first-hand knowledge of the political landscape and how that impacts congressional investigations, we prepare our clients for the hard questions.

In the last 12 months, the team has welcomed Partner Josh Hsu and Associate William Ryan.

With more than a decade in public service, Josh brings a wealth of experience on issues impacting the technology industry and voting, civil, and reproductive rights. He previously served as Counsel to Vice President Kamala Harris, General Counsel and Deputy Chief of Staff to then-Senator Harris, and Counsel to the Senate Judiciary Committee. Clients benefit from his insights into the inner workings of government and experience navigating investigations and litigation related to congressional oversight.

Will practices at the intersection of law and public policy, helping clients navigate complex challenges across the federal and state level. Prior to joining Jenner, Will served as a Senior Investigative Counsel on the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, where he focused on investigations relating to government corruption and national security, particularly on conflicts of interest and ethics issues involving the intersection of large corporations and the Executive Branch.
