“The Biden Administration’s Aggressive Policy Changes to Combat Corruption,” Lawfare
Publications
February 1, 2022
Jenner & Block Partners Brandon Fox and Keisha Stanford, and Associates Tessa Roberts and Annie Wilt, discuss the new US Strategy on Countering Corruption in an article for Lawfare. The authors write that the Biden administration has successfully made the case that corruption around the world is a national security concern for the United States. While it is not clear that the administration will be able to achieve the lofty anti-corruption goals it has set for itself, an increased focus on fighting corruption may have enough of an impact to make it worth the investment, they write.
Brandon D. Fox is the Managing Partner of Jenner & Block’s Los Angeles office and a former federal prosecutor. He has represented companies and individuals in complex litigation and white-collar matters and has led internal investigations for clients in Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, securities fraud, workplace safety, healthcare fraud, money laundering, and other matters.
Keisha N. Stanford is a partner based in Jenner & Block’s Washington, DC, and San Francisco offices. She represents and advises public and private multinational corporations and individuals in compliance, white collar criminal defense, and government enforcement matters and in internal investigations.
Tessa J.G. Roberts is an associate in the firm’s New York office. She has represented corporations and individuals in connection with government and internal investigations and counsels clients on compliance issues.
Annie R. Wilt is an associate based in the firm’s Chicago office.
