Partner Greg Boyle Named Notable Nonprofit Board Leader by Crain’s Chicago Business

Partner Greg Boyle was recognized among Crain’s Chicago Business’ 2022 “Notable Nonprofit Board Leaders.” The list highlights individuals who have advanced the cause of a nonprofit in a meaningful way, mentored other board members, and helped the organization operate more efficiently.

Greg was featured for his leadership in the Chicago Bar Foundation (CBF), where he currently serves as president. During his years with CBF, Greg has co-led the CBF’s annual trips to Washington, DC and Springfield with members of Chicago’s legal community to educate government officials about the need for policies and legislation that expand access to justice. One such example being the CBF’s successful efforts to pass legislative initiatives such as eviction court name change legislation, which simplified the law to make the eviction process more understandable for tenants and landlords alike. Greg also co-hosted the 2022 CBA & CBF Pro Bono & Public Service Awards Luncheon, which honored unsung legal heroes and built awareness of the impact of legal efforts on behalf of the most marginalized people in our community.

Greg is a Funds, Investments, and Financial Litigation partner. He defends clients in litigation and government investigations involving complex financial products, including investigations conducted by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Securities Exchange Commission, and the Department of Justice, often working closely with the firm’s Investigations, Compliance, and Defense Practice. He is also a longtime member of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee.
