Jenner & Block is proud to join NOTICED, the UK’s first inter-firm diversity network aimed at promoting networking opportunities to integrate, celebrate, and educate on diversity across the legal sector. The network’s objectives are to encourage diversity in the legal profession and amongst member firms with a view to making the profession more accessible to individuals from ethnic minority backgrounds and to raise awareness about issues faced by ethnic minorities, not just in accessing the profession but also in their progression within the profession.
“We are excited to have Jenner & Block join the roster of member firms,” said Nic Patmore, from the NOTICED Steering Committee. “They are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion and building a work environment where everyone feels respected. Their participation in discussions on how we can improve ethnic diversity in the legal profession and promote a better understanding of race will be a great benefit.”
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are core values for Jenner & Block. We recognise that a diverse team of lawyers is essential to providing clients with the best possible legal services, and we are focused on hiring and developing lawyers who reflect the multiplicity of cultures, genders, ethnic backgrounds, and viewpoints represented in an increasingly global economy.
“The events of the past two years have created opportunities for us to stand up as a firm to further cement our efforts to pursue greater diversity, inclusion, equity, and justice in our communities and society at large,” said Jason Yardley, a Jenner & Block disputes partner who serves as a firm representative to NOTICED. “We are proud to join NOTICED to expand those efforts and support our peers in the legal profession.”
NOTICED is supported by The Law Society and offers networking events and talks on diversity and mentoring schemes, and currently includes more than 20 leading law firms.
