April Otterberg Installed as Chair of ISBA’s Standing Committee on Professional Conduct

The Illinois State Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Professional Conduct has installed Partner April A. Otterberg as chair for the 2021-2022 term.

The Committee prepares written advisory opinions in response to inquiries from the public and members of the Illinois bar concerning the application of the Illinois Rules of Professional Conduct in specific situations arising in the practice of law. The Committee also reviews the Rules to ensure they are up-to-date and recommends proposed amendments when necessary.

Ms. Otterberg, a member of the firm’s Professional Responsibility Practice, has served on the committee since 2012. With more than a decade of experience defending lawyers and law firms in legal malpractice and related claims, she is deeply familiar with the ethical and professional obligations facing lawyers.
