“Use of Experts,” Fall 2022 National Legal Malpractice Conference
Event
September 23, 2022
Jenner & Block Partner Kirsten Spira shared her insight on the use of experts in legal malpractice litigation in a panel presentation titled “Use of Experts in Legal Malpractice Matters – Maximizing the Impact of Your Expert." Speaking at the Fall 2022 National Legal Malpractice Conference sponsored by the ABA’s Standing Committee on Lawyers’ Professional Liability, she and other panelists discussed the subject by dividing the issues presented into innings of a baseball game. Ms. Spira explained how the issues change throughout the life of the game – or litigation – from the origin of the dispute all the way through trial, and offered takeaways at each stage.
Ms. Spira is a co-chair of the firm’s Professional Responsibility Practice. She represents law firms in complex matters, including malpractice actions, disqualification motions, employment disputes, and “aiding and abetting” actions brought against law firms by non-clients.
