“U.S. Supreme Court Ruling on Affirmative Action – What Now and What’s Next?,” Council for Advancement and Support of Education

Partner Ishan Bhabha joined a panel at the Summit for Leaders in Advancement 2023 Conference sponsored by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. The timely session was aimed at addressing how institutions are working to adapt practices and respond to their communities in the wake of the US Supreme Court ruling against race-conscious admissions policies last month. Ishan and other panelists discussed the issues at play and the legal implications of the Court’s ruling on admissions and financial aid policies, including scholarships and legacy admissions.

Ishan is a Co-Chair of the Organizational Values and Strategy Task Force, which is at the forefront of assisting clients as they navigate the impact of SFFA. He recently co-led two webinars for hundreds of clients and colleagues. One webinar covered the immediate consequences for institutions of higher education (available here) and one covered how corporations can mitigate increased litigation and regulatory risk post-SFFA while maintaining their commitment to diversity (available here).
