“Reporting Up and Whistleblowing: How the Rules Work in the Real World,” Association of Corporate Counsel of New York City’s Virtual Ethics Event

On September 21, Partners Katya Jestin and Charles D. Riely will present a CLE webinar on the topic of reporting up and whistleblowing at the Association of Corporate Counsel of New York City’s annual Ethics Event. Anne Bancroft, Associate General Counsel of Exelon, and Andrew Genser, General Counsel of Viking Global Investors, will join Ms. Jestin and Mr. Riely as panelists. The speakers will provide an update on the law and pertinent ethical rules relating to reporting up and whistleblowers. The program will cover how and when employees are obligated to report up under Sarbanes Oxley and state ethical rules, and what supervisors are required to do when they receive such a complaint. The panelists will also examine best practices in building a corporate culture where employees are well-positioned to spot and highlight issues. The CLE presentation will begin at 12:00 pm ET.
