Pathway to Law, California Indian Law Association

On March 19, Associate Leonard Powell will join California Indian Law Association’s Pathway to Law program for Native students. The program guides Native American and Alaska Native college students and recent graduates through the law school application process and provides insights into what it means to be a Native American lawyer. Mr. Powell is a senior associate in the Appellate and Supreme Court Practice. He also brings significant expertise to the firm’s Native American practice. Mr. Powell represents clients in high stakes litigation in federal courts and has represented clients at all stages of Supreme Court litigation. Before law school, Mr. Powell served on the Tribal Council of his federally recognized Tribe, the Hopland Band of Pomo Indians.
