Partner Debbie Berman will share her insights on a panel entitled, “Shh! – It’s A Secret: Taking a Closer Look at Trade Secrets and Their Role in A Remote & Globalized Era” during the American Conference Institute’s Women Leaders in IP Law event. The panel, held on June 6, will discuss key questions surrounding trade secrets in the new workplace landscape, including best practices in advising clients on trade secrets, managing the risk of potential public disclosure with other IP protections, and examining the concerns with trade secrets in the growing AI and software industries. She recently achieved a landmark victory in a major international trade secrets and unfair competition case resulting in a federal jury verdict of ~$114 million and an extensive injunction; this matter is in the Supreme Court currently. She has a long track record of litigating significant trade secrets cases, including PepsiCo, Inc. v. Redmond, the seminal Seventh Circuit inevitable disclosure case.
