Partner Dawn Smalls Speaks at ABA and AALS Deans' Workshops and Development Conference
Jenner & Block Partner Dawn Smalls will present at the Deans' Workshops and Development Conference hosted by the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar and Association of American Law Schools (AALS).
The Deans of New York Law School and Indiana University Maurer School of Law will moderate the panel, titled “Guardians of the Rule of Law: Inspiring the Next Generation.” Dawn will be joined by other guest speakers including the Hon. John Cronan, US District Court Judge, and the Hon. Gerard E. Lynch, US Court of Appeals Judge for the Second Circuit, among others.
The discussion will center on the critical role law schools play in in shaping the values and obligations of future lawyers and the legal profession.
Named a “Northeast Trailblazer” by The American Lawyer, Dawn is a Commissioner for the New York State Joint Commission on Ethics and Lobbying and Government (JCOPE), a member of the New York City’s Campaign Finance Board, and a recent inaugural Co-Chair of the New City Bar Association’s Task Force for Civic Education, for which she served a three-year term.
