Legal Issues in Tribal Fintech, Wiring the Rez

On February 17, Senior Associate Lenny Powell will join the ninth annual Tribal Government E-Commerce CLE Conference–Wiring The Rez–for a panel discussion about the challenges and opportunities tribal governments face in the fintech space. The conversation will cover recent and upcoming U.S. Supreme Court cases impacting tribal lenders, lower court fintech decisions from around the county, and outreach to states in these cases. Learn more. Lenny represents clients before appellate and trial courts throughout the country in cases raising high-stakes issues of constitutional and statutory interpretation, administrative law, criminal procedure, and federal Indian law, among others. He regularly briefs matters before the United States Supreme Court, where he has won a number of cases on the merits and successfully opposed dozens of petitions for certiorari, including as lead counsel. Lenny also advises clients who face critical strategic decisions at the trial-court level and litigates case-dispositive motions.
