DeBruin will join a panel titled “Case Studies of Noteworthy Issues before the Federal Administrative Agencies.” Mr. DeBruin’s case study will focus on pipelines as a newly contentious issue for FERC. He will highlight current debates and legal issues in pipeline expansion and siting for domestic use and for exports. The panel will be held on January 23, 2020, the first day of a two-day conference in Seattle sponsored by Law Seminars International. Mr. DeBruin provides extensive first-chair trial experience and deep proficiency in commercial energy markets. He has significant experience in hydroelectric power disputes and counsels on issues related to hydroelectric power. He has also been involved in natural gas disputes at FERC, among other matters.
