On June 12, 2020, Jenner & Block Partners Michele L. Slachetka and Ali M. Arain presented a CLE webinar for the New York State Bar Association. They summarized best practices for effectively counseling business and corporations through periods of internal and external crises. They also shared tips and strategies for structuring law firm legal teams, managing communications with corporate clients and public relations teams, and developing a coordinated legal response and strategy in dynamic environments. Ms. Slachetka is a member of the firm’s Complex Commercial Litigation Practice. She has represented individuals and public and privately-held companies in sensitive internal and government investigations and in federal and state court litigation. She is also a co-author of a chapter on “Crisis Management” for the treatise Business and Commercial Litigation in Federal Courts. Mr. Arain is an experienced litigator who represents clients in high-stakes business disputes in both state and federal courts. He has extensive experience in financial services-related litigation and internal investigations.
