Allison Torrence and Steven Siros to present at IICLE Environmental Law Institute

On June 23, Partners Allison Torrence and Steven Siros will each present as part of the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education’s (IICLE) Environmental Law Institute. The day-long program will address the Biden-Harris administration’s planned and expected changes to regulations involving land, water, air, and commercial real estate, as well as provide a general overview of national and Illinois environmental law. Ms. Torrence’s presentation, “Clearing the Air: Illinois Air Quality Regulation,” will offer an in-depth examination and discussion of the complex web of air quality regulations in Illinois, as well as issues, practical tips, and real-world examples regarding both local and national regulation. Mr. Siros’ presentation, “Emerging Contaminants and the Safe Drinking Water Act: The Biden Effect,” will provide an update on President Biden’s efforts to fulfill his promises to reinvigorate the Safe Drinking Water Act, in particular regarding the regulation of emerging contaminants. She has significant experience in environmental litigation, including in matters involving toxic torts, CERCLA, RCRA, the Clean Water Act, and the Clean Air Act. Mr. Siros is chair of the firm’s Environmental Litigation Practice and co-chair of its Environmental and Workplace Health & Safety Practice. He focuses primarily on environmental and toxic tort matters.
