Lenny has played a key role in securing notable victories for Indian country before the US Supreme Court, including Haaland v. Brackeen and McGirt v. Oklahoma. His practice focuses on representing clients before appellate and trial courts throughout the country in high-stakes cases involving statutory interpretation, constitutional law, administrative law, and federal Indian law. He regularly briefs matters before the United States Supreme Court, where he has helped win five cases on the merits and successfully opposed dozens of petitions for certiorari, including as lead counsel. Lenny also advises clients who face critical strategic decisions at the trial-court level and litigates case-dispositive motions.
