Jenner & Block is a sponsor of and participant in the 11thAnnual Hotel & Lodging Summit, a program of Georgetown Law that will focus on pressing legal issues facing the hotel and lodging industry as it continues to emerge from the pandemic.
Partner Lindsay Harrison, Co-Chair of the firm’s Real Estate and Hospitality Practice, is on the advisory board of the program.
On October 25, Jenner’s DC office, at 1099 New York Avenue, will be the site of an optional pre-conference primer. In that full-day session, hotel industry veterans will teach about the subjects most heavily negotiated in hotel management agreements. The primer will be held from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm ET.
On October 27, Partner Adam Unikowsky will join a panel called “In the Ring Tonight: Recent and Pending Litigation Affecting the Hotel Industry.” Adam and other speakers will discuss implications of recent Supreme Court decisions on affirmative action and abortion, upcoming Supreme Court decisions on “tester” standing under the ADA, state AG litigation concerning resort fees, class action litigation involving the industry, and owner-operator disputes, among other topics. On October 4, Adam argued the case Acheson Hotels, LLC v. Laufer in the Supreme Court on behalf of the hotel defendant. The panel will be held from 11:20 am to 12:20 pm ET.
