Nicole A. Allen is an associate in Jenner & Block’s Chicago office. She is a member of the Firm’s Litigation Department.
Ms. Allen represents clients in a variety of complex civil and criminal litigation matters. As part of her civil litigation practice, Ms. Allen has represented clients in actions involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, securities law violations, commercial bribery and employment discrimination. Ms. Allen has also represented clients in high-profile white collar criminal matters involving complicated tax strategies and alleged securities law violations.
Ms. Allen has experience with all aspects of litigation. She has co-chaired a jury trial in federal court, briefed and successfully argued contested motions, prepared submissions to the Securities and Exchange Commission, and participated in all phases of fact and expert discovery.
Ms. Allen maintains an active pro bono practice and devotes a substantial number of hours each year to pro bono matters.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Allen worked for DaimlerChrysler AG, in their Human Resources and Corporate Union Relations Departments. During this time she participated in the 2003 labor contract negotiations between DaimlerChrysler and the UAW, and was responsible for investigating and responding to charges filed against DaimlerChrysler with the National Labor Relations Board and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Ms. Allen earned her J.D. cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School in 2008, where she received individual honors in Legal Practice and Tax. While in law school, Ms. Allen also participated in the Henry M. Campbell Moot Court competition and was a member of the Business Law Association.
Ms. Allen received her B.B.A. with honors from the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business in 2003, with concentrations in finance and management & organizations.
Ms. Allen is a member of the Illinois Bar and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.
