David A. Newman is an associate in Jenner & Block’s New York office and a member of the Firm’s Litigation practice.
Prior to joining Jenner & Block, Mr. Newman completed clerkships with the Honorable Robert A. Katzmann, United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the Honorable Jed S. Rakoff, United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Mr. Newman earned his Bachelor of Arts degree summa cum laude from Columbia University in 2002, where he was elected Phi Beta Kappa, received honors in the major of Political Science, and was awarded a John Jay Scholarship. He earned his Juris Doctor from Yale Law School in 2006. While attending Yale, Mr. Newman served on the editorial board of the Yale Journal on Regulation, as Director of the Child/Youth Advocacy Clinic, as a contributing editor to Legal Affairs, and interned for the Department of Justice’s Enron Task Force.
