S. Tony Ling focuses his practice on the executive compensation and employee benefit aspects of mergers and acquisitions. Clients ranging from large corporations to individual executives who seek his advice on a full spectrum of executive compensation and ERISA matters, as well as general employee benefits. Mr. Ling has represented clients in multi-million dollar transactions as well as before the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Labor.
Mr. Ling is a member of the Firm’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Practice and the Diversity Committee. He is the founder of the Asian Forum, an affinity group for Asian attorneys at the Firm. Mr. Ling has lectured on a variety of topics, including employee benefit and executive compensation issues in M&A, executive compensation issues (including Code Section 409A), welfare plan funding and law firm diversity.
Mr. Ling is active in the Chicago-area Chinese community, providing pro bono representation and serving on the board of the Chicago Dragons Athletic Association, which provides athletic and cultural activities for Chinese youth.
