Penelope P. Campbell concentrates in commercial real estate and is a member of the Firm’s Real Estate Practice.  Ms. Campbell has experience with various types of real estate transactions including sales and acquisitions, corporate stock or asset sales and mergers, and commercial and retail leasing.

Prior to joining Jenner & Block, Ms. Campbell worked for more than seven years as a press secretary for Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White.  In that position, she served as spokesperson for the Secretary of State’s office and explained the policies, programs and goals of the administration to the media; advised Secretary White on policy issues relating to media; drafted press releases, speeches, policy statements and background briefings; and developed and implemented media outreach strategies related to office initiatives.

Ms. Campbell currently serves as a member of the Firm’s Women’s Forum Steering Committee and Associate Board of the Diversity Committee.  She graduated cum laude from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in 2001, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, with a concentration in Latin. Ms. Campbell earned a J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2009, graduating magna cum laude.
