Michael B. DeSanctis is the Managing Partner of the Washington, D.C. office and serves on the Firm’s Management Committee.  He is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department and the Content, Media & Entertainment and Communications Practice Groups.  He is also Co-Chair of the Election Law and Redistricting Practice.

Mr. DeSanctis maintains a vibrant and diverse practice representing clients in civil litigation, international and domestic arbitration, and before federal agencies.  In addition to litigating commercial disputes of all types, much of his practice focuses on complex business and intellectual property disputes for the world’s leading corporations operating at the ever-evolving intersection of the media, communications, entertainment, music and technology industries.  In addition, he regularly appears as lead counsel in enforcement matters before federal agency Enforcement Bureaus and Inspector General Offices.

Mr. DeSanctis also is one of the country’s leading and most experienced lawyers in the uniquely Washington world of Election Law and Redistricting.  He regularly represents elected officials, Congressional and state legislative delegations, campaigns, candidates and other political organizations in litigation, counseling and the development of strategic planning involving redistricting, election law and voting rights issues, and campaign finance.
