Margaret J. Simpson is a litigator who concentrates on antitrust litigation and counseling. She represents clients in federal court and before antitrust enforcement agencies, and provides antitrust advice, in matters involving allegations of price-fixing, merger review, patent litigation with substantial antitrust issues, joint ventures, Robinson-Patman Act, and distribution arrangements. A Ph.D. in economics, she has considerable experience analyzing a broad range of antitrust issues in a range of industries, including recorded music, health care, energy, chemical, and general manufacturing.
Ms. Simpson is a partner in the Firm’s Antitrust Litigation Practice. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association, where she has served as Antitrust and Unfair Competition Law Section Council Chairperson. Ms. Simpson has also served as a longtime Board Liaison at First Slice, an organization that “gives Chicago’s hungriest access to food that sustains both body and soul.”
