Kyle A. Palazzolo concentrates in complex civil litigation. He also has significant experience in the area of education and school resource issues, working with both for-profit and non-profit education entities.
Mr. Palazzolo served as part of a litigation team that represented a publicly traded healthcare REIT in a three-week jury trial in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky. The case resulted in a $101 million jury verdict for the Firm’s client, which represents one of the largest awards for a tortious interference with business expectation case. The jury’s verdict was recently affirmed by the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition, Mr. Palazzolo has advised and represented major national education institutions on issues such as teacher certification, collective bargaining, and electronic education programs.
Mr. Palazzolo maintains an active pro bono practice for which he has been recognized with the Albert E. Jenner Pro Bono Award, the Constitutional Rights Foundation Chicago Bill of Rights in Action Award, and the Cook County Bar Association Presidential Award. Mr. Palazzolo’s service through pro bono work spans numerous areas, from several successful cases regarding LGBT rights to the first case in Illinois to result in post-conviction ballistics testing for our client. Mr. Palazzolo has also co-authored amicus briefs in the United States Supreme Court and several federal circuit courts.
