Kenneth D. Klein is litigator and a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers. His experience includes a wide range of complex business litigation matters that have resulted in numerous trials in both federal and state courts. He has been lead counsel in a substantial number of cases, including litigation involving breach of contract, fraud, sexual and racial discrimination, accounting malpractice, consumer class actions, tortious interference, and antitrust.
After serving as an infantry platoon sergeant in Vietnam, Mr. Klein began his legal career in 1973 in the New York County District Attorney’s Office. As an Assistant District Attorney in the Homicide Bureau, he was lead counsel in a number of major homicide cases. In 1977, he left the District Attorney’s Office to become Assistant Deputy Chief Counsel of the House of Representatives Select Committee on Assassinations, investigating the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. When the Committee completed its work, Mr. Klein moved to Los Angeles. Prior to joining Jenner & Block, he was a partner with a large international law firm and Chair of its Los Angeles Litigation, Arbitration and Employment Practice.
Mr. Klein is a frequent contributor of articles on litigation and trial techniques to the Los Angeles Daily Journal. He has been named to the Southern California Super Lawyers list every year from 2005 through 2011. In 2009, he was included as a “Top Attorney in Business Litigation,” in the Super Lawyers, Corporate Counsel Edition.
