Jean M. Doherty focuses on complex civil litigation, with significant experience in consumer class actions and state and federal appellate matters. Ms. Doherty is a member of the Firm’s Litigation Department, and serves as a member of the Firm’s Pro Bono Committee and the Hiring Committee.
In addition to her private practice, Ms. Doherty has worked on numerous pro bono matters, including a challenge to California’s lethal injection protocol, amicus curiae on behalf of Teach for America, and immigration and environmental matters.
She received her J.D. in 2008 from University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where she served as Executive Notes Editor for the Southern California Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif. Prior to joining Jenner and Block, Ms. Doherty served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Richard A. Paez, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
