Mr. Geoffrey M. Davis has a broad federal tax practice focusing on acquisition and divestiture transactions, restructuring and financing transactions and fund formation and related investments.  He also routinely handles a wide spectrum of tax controversy matters.

The Legal 500 has recognized Mr. Davis’s tax work.  He is a member of the Firm’s Tax, Real Estate Securities, and Tax Controversy Practices.  He is also a member of the Firm’s Bankruptcy, Workout and Corporate Reorganization, and Private Equity/Investment Management Practices.    

Mr. Davis is an adjunct professor at John Marshall Law School, where he teaches in the Real Estate LLM program, and at Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he teaches taxation of financial instruments.  He began his professional career as a tax CPA with Price Waterhouse in New York and has practiced as a successful litigator beyond the confines of tax.
