C. John Koch is a litigator who concentrates on securities litigation, class actions, and appellate matters.  He has substantial experience defending class actions and securities actions for a variety of public companies and their officers and directors.  His experience spans numerous forms of complex litigation, including securities fraud and misrepresentation claims, shareholder derivative actions, and merger and control contest litigation.  Mr. Koch also has handled appeals of business and commercial matters in state and federal appellate courts throughout the country.

Mr. Koch is the former Co-Chair of the Securities Law Committee of the Chicago Bar Association.  In 2010 and 2011, Mr. Koch was recognized as an Illinois Super Lawyers in the area of Securities Litigation.  For five consecutive years, he has been listed in the Leading Lawyers Network for outstanding service in the areas of Civil Appellate Law, Class Action/Mass Tort Defense Law, and Securities & Venture Finance Law.
