Client Advisory: Oil Spill Notice Deadline Asserted By Some Insurers May Be Fast Approaching

Kelly advise insureds to immediately examine their insurance policies if they have sustained or expect to sustain any damage or business interruption in the wake of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico at the Deepwater Horizon Rig. The authors provide key points in making a gulf oil insurance claim and warn that some insurers are imposing a July 8, 2010 deadline for policyholders to notify them of claims under certain policies.
