The Lesbian and Gay Bar Association of Chicago (LAGBAC) bestowed on February 4 awards to Jenner & Block LLP and Lambda Legal for their groundbreaking work last summer in Lawrence v. Texas, the landmark gay rights Supreme Court case. The Firm, led by Partners Paul M. Smith and William M. Hohengarten, and Lambda worked together arguing on behalf of the petitioners in the case.
The Honorable Timothy Evans (pictured, far left) and John Marshall Professor Mark Wojcik (pictured, far right), President of the LAGBAC, were on hand to present the award to Jenner & Block Associate Nada Djordjevic (middle left) and Partner Joseph G. Bisceglia (middle right), who accepted the award on behalf of the Firm.
